Autism Society of North Carolina

The Autism Society of North Carolina is committed to providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.

 

MAAP Services

MAAP Services for the Autism and Asperger Syndrome is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information and advice to families of More advanced individuals with Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, and Pervasive developmental disorder (PDD).

 

Center for Study of Autism

The Center for the Study of Autism (CSA) is located in the Salem/Portland, Oregon area. The Center provides information about autism to parents and professionals, and conducts research on the efficacy of various therapeutic interventions. Much of our research is in collaboration with the Autism Research Institute in San Diego, California.

 

Division TEACCH

Treatment & Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children - University of North Carolina.  The TEACCH mission is to enable individuals to function as meaningfully and as independently as possible in the community; and to provide exemplary services throughout North Carolina to individuals with autism and their families and those who serve and support them; as a member of the University community, to generate knowledge; to integrate clinical services with relevant theory and research; and to disseminate information about theory, practice, and research on autism through training and publications locally, nationally and internationally.
